I get the sense HMM is not a popular track around here, but I gotta say I always enjoyed it

The lyrics are trash, no question, and it doesn't really soften the blow to imagine that maybe he's singing them in character as, fuckin, Glass or Zero or whatever the damn hell he was going for

But I like the main riff a lot and it's fun to play on a downtuned guitar

Plus you get noice screams like that one

True - musically, it's a great jam. Love when it slides into the chorus "Let me die..." guitar part is great. Happens a few times in there, but 3:00 is the sweet spot of it for me.

I think what killed that song for me is that it kept showing up on setlists well past it when it should have stopped showing up. I'd see them in say, 2007, and they would play this 12 minute version of that over say, any other three great songs from their expansive catalog, or one other 12 minute great song.

I don't really pay attention to the lyrics so I find the song decent to good.
