The 2000 tour was so insane. I wish there were videos from the lupos show 3/2/00 because it was 2.5 hours of intense.

I appreciate the tongue in cheekness of this Leno performance. Billy laughing is amusing.

The bass tone is pretty crappy

It's pretty bad listening to SP play old stuff from previous albums on a tour. It just feels wrong. I mean even in 1996, Cherub Rock was too damn fast and not as good as the 93 shows.

Unless the song's been totally reworked, like Porcelina on that tour. The band's evolved so much.

I made a graph based on Cherub Rock

This one is awesome and funny because Jimmy thinks they're playing 'Bury Me' and starts the beat for that until he realizes it's 'Tristessa':

actually it's much bigger than what is in that picture, this is a somewhat better view of the youtube servers (or as you say, "youtube computer"): http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/...37_964x641.jpg it's just a huge room filled with huge stacks of high-powered machines that store data

Google now has a lot of its computer in the north (like northern alaska or something i think) because it cost too much and consumes too much power to cool down its servers otherwise.

never understood the complaints about auf der mar

if you're gonna complain about her bass tone might as well look at bill & james's guitar tones as well. it was practically a packaged deal for that era

goddamn that was fucking great

I really love the Machina era, how dark it was, how pissed Billy seemed

I like how they took an Adore song and made it twisted and dark, especially since Ava Adore has always been a song directed to the fans, for the fans

also, James was the perfect second guitar for the harmony soloing, Jeff just doesn't cut it man

Auf de Maur isn't bad. She's great. Just sloppy as fuck. But when you put energy into a performance sometimes you get a little slop.

yeah, melissa definitely had more stage presence than any other SP bassist IMO. she was a good fit for the OTT machina tour.

You're so right. The drop-off in quality from James to The Shredder is steep.

the color was altered before uploading so that it doesn't get taken down for copyright infringement (the video is from the PI reissue DVD)
