I just watched the Six Feet Under series finale
I'm pretty sure it's the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

i watched every episode over the last 3 months or so.
it's actually completely ruined the medium of television for me because nothing else could possibly top that. |

its fair to say that it's my favorite tv show ever.
when claire is driving away and you see nate running in the rear view mirror... that's good stuff. |

Yeah, the last few episodes were intense.
I loved the part where David was having his nightmare, and then realised the figure in red was himself, and how he like, instantly hugged himself when he realised how they were just scared of each other… And then he wakes up and Nate is just sitting there watching him, sincerely… That hit me. And also when David dies, how he sees Kieth all young and such…. Also loved it. I don’t know, felt like losing a family. I got hooked by chance on the first episode years and years ago, and it’s one show that I’ve made every effort to watch every episode whenever possible since. It was liking losing family or something. But in a good way. |

Also sad. Like how they kept it realistic with Nate reacting to smell, and the pshychology of handling a dead body, even if it was his wife and such…. Ah, what a fine program indeed. |

I'm not a big fan of buying DVDs, i don't see the point of paying 15 bucks for something that is just going to sit on a shelf the majority of the time. but i really wanna get the new box set they put out.

what's so great about it? Vikings? Ninjas? Samurai? Set in the 1840s? Are there gunslingers and banditos? What about violence? Lots of bloody, viscious violence? Do any aristocrats get killed? Does anyone eat a human heart?

I don’t know how to read this, sarcastically or not. But it’s sincere, and it’s smart, and funny a lot of the time too, and observant… and just…. Perfect. I don’t know. Ha. Just start watching, you’ll see. Although I’m confident you know exactly what it’s about. |

Vikings and samurai gangs fighting in 1840s industrial slums would be the greatest show ever. You know this is true. Throw some vampires and werewolves in there for the hell of it. and the Dead Rabbits. You always need the Dead Rabbits. And Joe Pesci playing Tommy from Goodfellas.
All I know about Six Feet Under is that it's a show about a family that runs a mortuary. |

I still think that last montage with Claire driving away is one of the best things ever on television. I agree with the last few episodes being rough to watch but I still tear up when I see Nate in Claire's rearview as she starts to drive.
And as an aside, Dexter with the former David Fisher in it is pretty fricking awesome for those that aren't watching it. Its first season finale was last night so you have plenty of time to catch up. |

Nate: This is my... uh, my girlfriend, Brenda.
Brenda: I prefer the term "fuck puppet". ... Brenda: I don't want any children. Nate: Whoa. Hey. Who said anything about children? Brenda: I was referring to you. ... Mitzi Dalton-Huntley: Been running? It's bad for the knees. Nate: Everything's bad for something. ... Nate: What would you rather have, some overly educated gas bag like Trevor, or a semi-literate fuck-machine like me, come on. ... Aunt Sarah: You know, vodka is for Russians what therapy is for Americans. Brenda: Yeah. Habit-forming and destroys your ability to lead a normal life. ... David: You looked so intense, the way you pointed your little alarm thingy at your car, like, "Fuck you, car, now you're locked." ... Nate Sr.: [Nate Sr. and Nate are looking at Nate Sr.'s tombstone] Is that the best anybody could come up with - "Father, Husband, Caregiver"? Nate: How would you prefer it - "Introvert, Sadist, Mindfucker"? ... George Sibley: I'm sorry. Maggie Sibley: Don't be. That's the way life is, right? I mean, you ruin things, you walk away. You go somewhere else until it's ruined... ... Claire: I wish that just once people wouldn't act like the clichés that they are. |

NARM!
Seriously, best show ever. I watched every episode this summer with the wife. I've never seen a series end as well as this one did. The last montage was fantastic. When Ruth dies and looks over and sees Nate Jr., ugh! I shed tears. |
