you were wrong about what the critics thought and you like an awful movie. if there is a trainwreck here, it's you, even though i don't think liking a shitty movie makes anyone a trainwreck,

1. if metacritic is you're primary site for movies then you are just sad.
2. metacritic gave Lost Highway a 52. they are clearly biased against abstract movies. meanwhile they gave the Simpsons movie got an 80. yeah. there you have it. do yourself a favor and check out Cinematical, \film, joblo for starters. Quote:

metacritic collects reviews from prominent news papers like the new york times, washington post etc and then gives a score based on that, it's not possible for THEM to be biased against abstract movies since they don't review anything. on the other hand, it is possible that a large part of the more well known critics have a bias against abstract movies, but that seems like a fairly paranoid assumption. it's just a shitty movie.

this discussion is about what the majority of critics might think about two movies: the golden compass and i am legend. if you have a better scource that gives an overview of what critics generally thinks than metacritic, then be my guest and post a link. if you can't: shut the fuck up.

this thread was about the series, Twin Peaks and not Fire Walk With Me.
that's your first fuck up. your second fuck up is following popular media for films, among god knows what else. you may have a millions posts but you are a fucking sheep man. you say you were posting your own opinions but in fact you were just reciting other people views. what the fuck man. why do you even try? you guys started talking about fire walk with me and i joined in, why is that a fuckup?
what do you know about what films i like to watch? i've posted my own opinion: the movie is shitty and some indications of what other people thought to help D decide on what to do. look you seem pretty confused, maybe you should just stick to smoking weed because this posting thing isn't working out very well for you. |

asdf is only 17 years old. Maybe he needs a few years of life experience before he can be an accurate judge of quality entertainment.

I believe neuroscientists recently concluded that the human brain develops well into the mid-twenties, so I suppose he should be given some leniency.

"According to new studies, the pre-frontal cortex usually does not reach a level of genuine maturity until someone reaches their mid-twenties! "It's sort of unfair to expect [teens] to have adult levels of organizational skills or decision-making before their brains are finished being built," says Giedd."

I have been watching through the new Gold Box (have always watched the full series every few years but this transfer is incredible) so I'm in full TP mode at the moment. I love the theories surrounding the show. I have tons of issues of Wrapped in Plastic and still read them all the time.
FWWM is not my fave Lynch feature but it is definitely up there. As a stand-alone film it is great but not incredible, watched right after the series is the only proper way. I think the pilot of the show alone is a superb film, nothing beats it. Although I still enjoy all of the scenes on sets in LA, nothing compares to the original on location sets like the RR and Sheriff's Station. |

if the 10 disc you are talking about is the Gold Box then yes. Start with the US pilot and not the European one on the disc because it has a weird closed ending that is cool to look back on later but there's not a lot of point to it upon first viewing. Then all episodes, then the film

Fenn I could understand but not Flynn Boyle. I hate it in episode 7 when she goes into the station with her sunglasses and ciggie and is all like 'fuck me James'. Nadine is better looking. |
