Yeah, what's going on with his book? That's the project I'm most looking forward to... Although I hope he drops that shit about using "fake names". No rock-star biographies take that route and I can see his book bombing if he sticks to that idea.

Would be fun to find out, who's behind those names.
Netphoria could get new reputation on it!

If he'd then could write as raw as in his old journal messages...

I'm 100% sure this project will move forward on vinyl after SIDDhartHa is sold out:

The first mention of "the book" is actually on the back flap of Blinking With Fists (2004).

Everything good is abandoned and everything shit sees a release?

Not that these books would be "good" per say, but still. Better than listening to musical cheese.

The editors on Wikipedia swear that the Teargarden project is still going strong when it's been painfully obvious that Billy abandoned that years ago now.

In all reality we only got 10, maybe 12 if you count the instrumentals, songs out of the 44 he promised to release "for free" on the SP website.

Oh yeah, I remember interviewers asking whether Oceania was part of TG, and Billy would meekly reply something like "It's an album within an album". Caught in his own web of announcements and failed projects.

Have you ever read his blogs posts. Now imagine that spread over 2000 pages. There is no way in hell he will ever put out a good book.

The fan club and lyrics sheets from SD is the earliest I've found. Then we get the Adore documentary and Gish month.

I'm pretty sure if we could go back to the first shows Billy would promising his first fans something that he never delivered.

Why did they call out a "Gish"-month in 1999? A second reissue, another remaster?

That wasn't a failure of Billy Corgan, but D'arcy's guilt for then leaving the band.

I'm not really aware of that one. Did they not send out the lyric sheets?

3.9 SP Fan Club

The "fan club" started when the Siamese Dream liner notes included the
words "smashing pumpkins fan club information" next to their PO box address
(which was different on both releases of Gish). Since then, there have
been a few newsletters & t-shirt order forms, but the one person running it
(Laura Ann) is a bit more enthusiastic than the rest of the band, who
hasn't been giving her stuff to send out. For now, Laura serves mainly to
read their mail, attempt to answer basic questions, and sell T-shirts.
Until further notice, however, it may be wise to hold off on "joining,"
since the $3 "membership" fee isn't really going anywhere. But if you
don't mind sending money to someone to send off to an accountant somewhere
or if you just feel like sending mail, the address is:

SPFC, PO Box 578010, Chicago, IL 60657.
I find it interesting that the newer version of the FAQ has removed reference to the $3 membership that you paid to get nothing in return. I could swear there is a much much longer version of the story in another version of the FAQ somewhere.

3.8 SP Fan Club; SPIFC (SP Internet Fan Club)

The "fan club" started when the Siamese Dream liner notes included the
words "smashing pumpkins fan club information" next to their PO box address
(which was different on both releases of Gish). Since then, there were a
few newsletters & t-shirt order forms, but the one person running it (Laura
Ann) was a bit more enthusiastic than the rest of the band about it, and they
never did much with it.

In April 1999, a new semi-official Smashing Pumpkins Fan Club launched: The
Smashing Pumpkins Internet Fan Club (http://www.spifc.org). SPIFC's sources
of information were apparently very close to, if not the band itself.

With the re-launch of the band, most of the information now appears to show up
there first. Check http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/ for the latest info.
