people need to quit their complaining, but of course what do you expect from this place..

anywhoo, like most songs or albums it takes a couple listens to really like it. Tis the same of this clip, I just listened to it again and I really enjoy it. Yes, I did expect a darker heavier song, but I'm sure there will be other songs like that on the album.

My optimism has faded....I hope I like the song when I hear the whole thing, but my hope is fading.

Well my pessimism of this website is growing.... It is truly unbelievable that people are picking apart 30 sec of a song. I can't comprehend this because it does not make sense. Where is the sensibility on this board? I think it just shows that MOST of the people on this board are not musically intelligent.

This version here is a bit cleaner and crisper than the realmedia version, at least comparing in headphones.

EDIT: Holy four posts in a row, batman. sorry guys.

After hearing this cleaned up clip, it definitely sounds better.

I'm excited about the guitar tone. Very creamy and fuzzy.

I'm still not sure about the overall "feel" and structure of the song (it sounds quite..."modern" indeed...) but good job on the clean-up that hopefully better reflects the real audio mix. (Unfortunately, the kind of production and sound many of these bands use today sounds eerily close to the previously posted clip.)

UHHHHHHHHH

The "cleanup" isnt a cleanup.

It's a better quality official source.

That's what I heard as he was preparing to launch Zwan.

I can't recall the quote exactly, but it was something along the lines of how they (Zwan) were going to be blowing out speakers because the rocked so hard.

Outside of Jesus I and Spilled Milk (which wasn't even on the album, and I don't even know if it was thiers), the album didn't blow out my speakers.

Heartsong didn't quite have that rocking feel that he promised.

I'm hopeful that this won't turn into the same thing. I want MellonCollie cock. I want Silverfuck. I want pissed off, fuck the world, angry music.

The plan with Zwan though was to use an entire album to get new fans, then use subsequent albums to rock them out.

The problem I see (and forgive me if this post is redundant) is that before, when Billy tailored singles to be radio friendly, they were still FUCKING AMAZING and really fresh and new sounding... SP was always a mainstream band... but they always brought fresh sounds into the mainstream rather than trying to bring themselves in with cliche sounds... that chunky pop-punk guitar part in the latter part of the clip is really disappointing... I really hope that sound isn't a thread throughout the rest of the album
