As a confused youth in the early 90's at some point i bought Blood sugar sex magik. Dont ask me why. I don't know. I'd heard the singles that were out then, Under the bridge and give it away, and didn't like them so it's a wonder i bought it anyway. Probably felt like something people my age oughta get. Actually i remember i bought this, Pearl Jam's Ten and U2's Achtung baby all at the same time. To this day its probably the most shameful record i've bought. Well..i dunno i guess there's a few more around the same era but like i'm slightly less embarrassed about having bought the first Bush record even. Within a week i was into Pearl Jam and didn't give RHCP a spin again. I listened to Achtung baby but only mildly. Then i discovered early 80's U2 and gave up on grunge (well not entirely i guess but more or less). And yes i'm saying U2, even then, at the beginning of their decline,, was a MUCH better choice.

I only saw singles for the first time like 4 years ago. I remember at the time it came out i thought this seemed ike such a hip film. Wow. It feels like a gen x film made by a boomer. Even Vedder should have been too "hip" to be seen in that piece of shit.

Singles has a decent soundtrack. It's a good pastiche of the music at the time. Mostly strong B-sides from the 'grunge' bands. last track is Drown.

I also like You Ishihara, from the japanese psychedelic The Stars
he reminds of James Iha, and I also like Iha's voice (specially on Wave Song)
