Thinking about it ... how much were tickets? I've never been to the Mann Center and see now all that's available is terrace or lawn - scared of having horrific sound out there.

Well, the tickets I got were about $70 with the service charges. It's sort of like the Whatever Bank Center in Camden but smaller. I wouldn't want to be on the lawn though. I think all they have now are the $35 lawn "seats".

Isn't this the second or third time they have reunited?

This thread is making me wish I hadn't sold my copy of Hell Below.

Something like that, except this time they're also recording a new album.

Looks like they're looking for one. They just posted this on their myspace.

The Toadies are seeking a touring bass player

Auditions will be held in mid May in Dallas. You must have experience in touring & have professional quality gear.

If you would like to be considered for an audition send a promo pack to:
Dale Brock / Sonar Management
3100 Main St Suite 347
Dallas, TX 75226

Include:
Music that you have performed on (live or studio recordings) a photo and a short bio about yourself (******* your age) and all your contact information. We'll also accept live performance videos.

Packages will be reviewed and we will contact you if we're interested in scheduling an audition. Promo materials will not be returned.

This will be a paid touring position, we're not looking to add a 4th band member.

You can direct questions (serious inquiries only) to: [email protected] Questions sent via my space will not be answered.

Sweet. Fender Jazz Bass, the `75 Reissue... Ampeg rackmount amp + Ampeg 4x10 and a Peavey BW 2x12. Toured local bars in a shitty cover band for three years. Count me in, Toadsters.

Someone at Bills was saying today that Mike Vanderheiden (Played with Funland... DFW people might remember.. "Angry Girl" from like 96?) had been in the studio with them. Dunno if thats a sign he's going to be touring bass player.... but funland has the common link of Clark so doesn't seem terribly far fetched. Same dude said Casey from Doosu was in the studio with them as well.

As long as it doesn't sound like burden brothers horse shit I'll be happy

Such an amazing band. Someone close to the band put about 4 discs of rarities up on Oink before it went down. Included the non mp3 version of Feeler. Amazing stuff.

i don't know much about this band, but i like them. Rubberneck has held up pretty well. Reminds me now of a heavier, less artsy Pixies. Sure the single was a little overplayed, but there are some other good songs on the album to make up for it.

If someone could upload the rarities to mediafire or something, that would be awesome.

oh, and i also heard these guys are being added to this year's lolla lineup.

I love Possum Kingdom, but I couldn't really get into Rubberneck. I remember giving it a few listens and always ending up really bored near the last couple of songs. Sounded like generic, unoriginal grunge to me.

Several new names appeared on both the Lollapalooza "Arist Discovery" pages yesterday, offering us a taste of who may be appearing in the next round of lineup additions.

Iron & Wine, the Toadies, Saul Williams, DeVotchKa, and Wild Sweet Orange are all new additions to Lollapalooza's discovery page, though since being discovered by fans, the pages have been removed.

Have you heard their followup to Rubberneck, "Hell Below / Stars Above"? If not, here it is:

Awesome, I'll have to see them at Lollapalooza. I'm still debating whether to see them here in Philly since tickets are so inexpensive.
