Such memories. One of the first sites I visited to utilize Image Maps. Such cutting edge technology back in the day!

Those were the good old days. I remember the shows leading up to Mellon Collie, when everybody knew they were about to become the biggest band in the world. It was a crazy fun time.

Actually what happened is, Agnew got convicted of rape. I think Troy caught him on tape.

Speaking of nostalgia, there's a good chance the usenet record has me badmouthing netphoria in 1998. I never liked this shithole. But where else can I go these days to have ignorant people talk about a band I used to love?

luna is too old school for me. my first internet experience was with aol chat rooms and using search engines to find SP in like 96 or 97.
i remember talking to a brazilian fan and he was talking about TAFH and, at that time, i couldn't find TAFH anywhere and really didn't know too much about it. he was going to send me lyrics and some other stuff, but never did. good times. also i remember vaguely some other sp fansites. |

Believe it or not there was a thriving SP chatroom on AOL circa 1995-1996, I think surviving through nostalgia towards the 2000's. That shit is old school. I remember downloading Eye before it came out and thinking it was some kind of impossible feat!

Ill be honest, theres a lot of old sp fans I wonder about....for instance, where's eric, dave, joshua, Tigershorty (was he even a fan, or just someone who ran the o-mb??), moonkids (yes, i wonder if he still is a fan after that whole incident), Nimrod, the chick who taped 12/02 (megan, i think her name was??), simon.
But then I look, and I see a lot of new sp fans that are living in their footsteps...for instance Sycho, scRAMble, (we still have) Davin, (we still have) andrew, and yes, even esty (whose bringing the hate to hatephoria nowadays). Last edited by TumoraXsault : 05-30-2007 at 04:03 PM. |

There were a lot of dicks who took the whole thing too seriously even back then. I cant say I miss most of the people mentioned.

His website also made me think the internet was the coolest thing ever. I went to someone's house and asked if I could print out some stuff on their printer. I then printed all the SP lyrics, perhaps 50 pages worth.
There was another site I accessed a lot starting maybe in 1997 which had a lot of rare SP tracks in streaming RealAudio. I used to visit this all the time from the school library. What was the name??? |
