Are you serious? I'm not saying anything offensive or even controversial. I'm entitled to my opinion about Coldplay. There is absolutely no reason for me to stop posting. Good luck with that.

Pablo Honey has Blowout which is awesome. The rest of it sounds like Pixies meets Nirvana meets U2. Pablo Honey is pretty much post-grunge.

I actually think A Rush of Blood is more comparable to Doves or Elbow than Radiohead. It doesn't immediately remind me of Radiohead the way Parachutes or Viva does. It sounds a lot like Seldom Seen Kid by Elbow or Lost Souls by Doves.

I haven't listened to the Bends in years. I listen to Parachutes a lot more often even if it's just every couple of months. I don't really have anything against the Bends but for some reason I just connect more with Parachutes.

parachutes does have its moments no doubt but it still seems kinda like only a fraction of what radiohead were accomplishing with the bends alone, & that was pretty much just radiohead doing alt rock

The Bends was when Thom's voice was still in top shape. After OK Computer his singing started to decline. He sounds so ragged at times on Amnesiac and Kid A.

The same thing happened to Brandon Flowers. His voice changed for the worse after Hot Fuss. It almost seems like he can't sing in as a deep tone as he used to. He sounds more shrill and nasal. But with Thom it was more that he just sounds worn and ragged now when he sings.

i disagree with that entirely, i don't think thom ever stopped sounding good

in fact i think a lot of his best moments vocally come from that 2000-2007/08 period when they started goin more "lectronica"

Don't get me wrong. I do like Amnesiac. I listen to that quite often. But I just definitely notice a difference in the way he sang in the early days and the way he has been singing since the noughties. His voice it seemed back then was prettier. That's the best way I can describe it.
