Default why is stranglehold part of window paine?

has corgan ever commented on why he used the solo from ted nugent's stranglehold in window paine? it's so obvious i always assumed it's deliberate. or were we not suppose to notice it? never heard of him ever speaking about it.

i'd ask him on twitter but i'm afraid he's going to publicly mock me.

Never heard the song before. Instead of making me seek through the eight-minute track to find which of the 11 guitar solos you're referring to, why not just directly link to it?

Red face

Too lame to post the music...:

"sometimes you gotta start low"

Billy knows the music of the seventies like nobody else...
And Ted Nugent heard the Bolero.

we wanted you to post to the WWMM part of the song.
no one wants to listen to the whole thing, we know it's bad.

It's just a generic 70's metal riff/solo

not the part i'm reffering to but this is indeed very similar as well. is gish just a collection of 70s hard rock riffs corgan borrowed form his favourite acts? is that why he likes greta van fleet so much?

Actually that Link Wray song is from the 1950s, it is probably the inspiration for Nugent and those that made it “generic.” BC probably lifted it from shitty 70s prog like he did Cherub Rock

What I meat was lots of 70s metal bands used that same riff structure on lots of songs to the point it became generic. I don't think Billy lifted it from Ted nugget.

lol stop making this weird moot point. it's not about the riff structure. name one that uses the same solo melody and drum pattern. so far you posted 0 songs that do.

Q. Why is Stranglehold by Ted Nugent part of window paine?

A. So you don’t have to listen to Ted Nugent, silly

The stranglehold is a leading reason for today’s epidemic of young men with impotent penises
