Like honestly I feel like this thread should be about Radiohead now because they were the last truly great "biggest band in the world" before the internet changed how that works for better or worse

or at least that's the way I see it

Pearly is my fav from the OK Computer era

Of course you like their most boring album because you like bland music

Every Radiohead fans reaction to that album is "meh it was okay for what it was"

OK Computer shouid really be compared to Adore because they were released at about the same time.

And OKComputer was about a million times more interesting than Adore, IMO.

Yes, one was a gigantic success and the other was a critical punchline and a commercial failure.

I'm by no means a huge OK Computer fan-boy, but it was clear Radiohead was progressing and experimenting with new ground that many people found exciting while the Pumpkins were regressing and really struggling to find a chemistry in their sound.

I know theres this re-writing of history going on by SP fans, but really when you take Gish/SD/MCIS... Adore is a huge and utter regression... and Billy knew it. It's why he rushed with his tail between his legs to get JC back in the picture.

It was their breakthrough album that introduced them to critical success ya chump.

I mean, when I do smoke a little weed, I just love turning on that album and vegging. Has such a nice vibe

I meant the opening track on The album
Not the order of the release of singles

The idea that we have to disparage the work of Radiohead in order to declare SP unique is ludicrous. I know I've been trolled.
