i waited! i got the deluxe edition at 10 AM today, pretty cool holographic cover.

only been able to listen to it once but Intervention is probably one of my favorite songs of all time and the new version of No Cars Go is surprisingly spectacular.

i'm really liking Regine on this record. i wasn't crazy about her voice on Funeral even though In the Backseat was probably the best song but she really adds a lot to the songs here. I wish her part of Black Wave was longer.

This thing has grown on me so much already. The first few times I listened to it I was waiting for something to "blow me away", and when that never really happened I suppose I was a little let down. Then I let the whole album sink in, listened to it at a leisurely pace, and now I'm obsessed with it. It sounds corny, but walking around a dark and empty campus while the snow fell at night, listening to Ocean of Noise...well it was pretty surreal.

I hear you guys... only one time through, and this album is getting me. I agree 100%, Nate - seems like it's growing on me as I just think about it. Got the deluxe pre-order straight from Merge - hoping that the "goodies" would be cool - oh well, a merge coaster isn't half-bad.
