These are rights that are not to be infringed upon by the majority regardless of what their beliefs are. One of these is essentially the right to not be discriminated against.

Again you need to understand the concept of minority rights. The founders were not concerned with gay rights or racial minority rights or woman's rights because they were bigoted white men, but they did very strongly fear majority tyranny and made it pretty clear that certain rights were to remain untouchable by the voters
