There really was some diamonds in the rough as far as the whole Nu-Metal craze went (Deftones being one of them)

I still fucking love this song

Pretty much the only song I ever liked by the group, but it's aged awesomely and still sounds great.

I love Got the Life.

I have a favorable recollection of a lot of Korn songs--- But then I search one to post one---- then listen---- and then it's like--- "This kinda sucks"... But Got the Life is definitely one of the best.

Did anyone ever listen to Jonathan Davis' (Korn lead singer) little brothers band?

They had a few small hits during the Nu-Metal craze.

The brother sounded EXACTLY the same as Jon Davis. This track was/is pretty cool

as far as nu-metal goes you can't deny the power of Disturbed

I actually like these last mentioned bands a fuck of a lot more than The Deftones.

I mean it's cool for what it is

But it's definitely in the same vain as Limp Bizkit

I mean this is pretty much the same shit as "My Own Summer"... And it's literally better.

LB was a much better live band than Deftones ever were

Come on guys, You didn't expect anyone to bring up Nu-Metal in a fucking Deftones thread?

Get real.

They're pretty shitty aside from 2 or 3

I mean: "shut up when I'm talking to you.... shut up....shut up...shut up.....shut up when I'm talking to you".

I know a lot of the aggressive nu-metal lyrics are shitty... But that song takes the fucking cake as far as laziness goes.

It's just funny how people are trying to rewrite history as far as the Deftones go. Their first few albums are about as stereotypically nu-metal as they come.

I dig this track

But lets face it, it is what it is. It's good in the way that Limp Bizkit is.
