My Smashing Pumpkins theory

I think Billy Corgan is still writing great music but he's secretly selling it to younger/hotter artists...

We know he's written songs for Hole and I read he wrote songs for Jessica Simpson?

It seems to me that it's the only theory that fits all the evidence...

Why would the "Pumpkins" spend time recording songs that even hard core fans hate? Maybe it's because only the B-sides and C-sides are getting released as SP tunes while the A-sides are secretly being sold to other artists?

A great artist like Billy Corgan doesn't completely fall off a cliff like he has...my theory fits all the pieces together, imho.

A good theory A) can be tested and B) makes predictions. Yours has neither; all it has is lots of fail. Would you consider the new Corgan-penned Hole & Jessica Simpson songs "great"?

I can't believe your theory. If BC could in some way prevent his pride from being hurt, he would. The selling of his good songs does not seem like an option for him at this point.....I'm sure he would cling to them desperately. He's not much of a sharer. Just remember that he took ALL credit for songs that people loved when only partial credit would have gotten him the same recognition. This makes it very doubtful that he's hacked all his good shit to terrible "artists."

Man I dunno what to believe anymore.I honestly think that there are good songs on Zeitgeist,but its in DESPERATE DESPERATE need of a remix couse the mix it has is shit.And Teargarden so far hasnt wow'd me,and right now if I could describe it it would be one word

What the hell man. That's a terrible "theory" which merely suggests that his "A-sides" would have to be even worse from a musical standpoint than the material he is releasing as SP! The implicit suggestion is that Hole, Jessica Simpson, etc. have some hot shit--that even WE would think is hot shit--all via Corgan influence.

If those are his A-sides then he can go shove them up his bunghole.

Samurai Mike

All we've got is poor quality bootlegs but all four of these songs get my blood pumping like classic Pumpkins songs!!!

All four of those would be A-sides compared to the teargarden songs.

There is evidence for my theory...
