no, no, no. it honestly depends on the food that the salsa is for. chilaquiles and most Mexican breakfast items are better with green salsa. except huevos rancheros---red is better on those. red salsa is a better complement for spicy and savory tacos and i think i prefer it when chomping chips, too.

green salsa has a brighter flavor and can sometimes be a little sweet (for some recipes).

honestly i know so little about mexican food but i do know that tomatillo sauce is green and also FUCK PEPPERS generally
