I didn't know that. I do know that when the Conservatives were in power in Alberta, they kind of used expensive carbon capture that didn't have a lot of impact to deflect criticism that they gave no fucks about the environment, because they didn't want to do anything more substantive, like carbon pricing or something.

There's one big incongruity I have seen in this Oregon shooting. Reports came in within a few hours of the initial news that the shooter was in custody and the incident was over. The reports are now that he was killed in a shootout with police.

CNN and others went with the shooter in custody report. I'm guessing they didn't make it up and were told this by the police. Or maybe they did make it up.

If they didn't however, the question that needs to be asked is when in custody did the cops shoot this guy?

I just processed an incongruity in the reporting. The question I ask is a fair one. And for this, you want me banned. Why? Because it might lead you to face your own cognitive dissonance? You know, it might not. What are you afraid of?


There was a report he was in custody. A later report said he was lethally shot by the police. Did that happen in custody?

I'd imagine not and I'm sure there's a "real life" answer to the question.

What's even funnier is that, in the context of mass shootings, the perps usually have no illusions about the fact that they are living their last moments, and either kill themselves or effectively choose suicide by cop.
