Twas overall a very good tour. Machina era would also ******* Arising and Resume the Pose tour's and having seen 5 of those shows and the band itself 20-something times...those two tours were probably their live peek.

Frankly, it's amazing how much better the Machina era sounds compared to SP2, since, at the time, it seemed so silly compared to earlier pumpkins tours.

What lineup do you mean when you say SP2? I kinda refer the Adore era to that, and then went back to SP1 for a bit. then with Melissa, but no one was saying SP2 then (nor when Matt Walker was around). SP3 was, well, Zwan basically and SP4,5,6,&7 from '04 till present or whatever.

But if the cutoff from SP1 to SP2 is the year 2000, then o.k. That's how it should work I guess.

He's melted down on stage many many times. 'I Am One' live on 8-5-1994 at Randall's Island, NY is a particularly good one.

He talks about "creepy crawl" in the breakdown, that's a straight up Charles Manson reference. http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...creepy%20crawl

Wow, Billy. Such dark. Much creepy.

I was disappointed in Sacred + Profane. At the show I saw, everyone but Melissa and Jimmy were checked out. James barely faced the audience and stayed back and off to the side as if he were on another planet, Billy was just Billy and the songs were played too fast.

there are some great shows from the machina era. december 99 thru march 00 (resume the pose) are uniformly excellent. I'd put utrecht, toronto, palo alto right up there with anything from mcis and adore

2000-05-08, 2000-05-23, 2000-07-02, 2000-10-19 are all great shows from the latter part of the year

Fuck, that XYU breakdown was...what the actual fuck.

I miss the ol' Corgan. But I don't want him to ever be in that mental place again. But I would've killed to see that tour live.

Embarrassing video to watch. No wonder James wanted to leave the band.
