OT: Whiny Bitches (Or How I Learned To Love the Hub and Got Banned)
Alright, I've heard that people have been bitching here on and off about being banned from the hub or the hub going down.
First off, grow up and quit flooding this board with useless complaints. Up until today I didn't even read this board so you were wasting your time. Second, rather than whining on Netphoria about being banned, why don't you contact me directly? I would imagine your chances of having something done about it would increase dramatically when you talk to someone who can change the situation. Keep in mind, these are the hub rules: 1. Share COMPLETE shows (in SHN format ONLY) including text source info and MD5. (Please organize these files in a coherent manner and do not share your downloads folder.) 2. No Warez, MP3s, Porn, Movies or Commercially Available Music (In short, nothing you would be embarrassed to have your parents or the FBI take a look at. This also includes future commercial releases such as Metro 2000.12.02. I will not be held responsible for what other people share.) 3. No Selling Shows (Trading and sharing should not involve money.) 4. Please treat everyone with respect and follow the other three rules. If you are banned, you probably broke one of these rules. All you have to do to have the ban lifted is contact me directly and let me know that you've fixed the problem. Sometimes I'm busy, so try to be patient. If you don't hear from me for a couple of days, send me another email. (I get a lot of spam on the tsphub account and your email was likely deleted by accident.) If you have questions, email me or contact me in the hub main chat. Scott

Yeah, I know...people seem to come on this board all the time and complain that they have been "banned" ... when they have just been kicked for not following the rules, and are allowed back on within a few minutes... if you have been banned, its likely because you have been continually violating the rules... and personally, I think that Scott is really good about this because:
a) Most hubs require a minimum share, and the pumpkins hub does not. I see lots of people that are not sharing any files on there, and never share any shows on there, and he doesn't mind, which is not normally the case. b) In almost every single situation, Scott has pretty much always let anyone who has been banned, back on the hub. c) The rules are very reasonable and very easy to follow... Anyway, usually there will be an op online if anyone that is new has any questions regarding SHNs, software, etc. ... but I must agree, I am getting kinda sick of people posting here "i got banned from the hub! what should i do!" ...so now there is no excuse...scott's email address is in this post, ... its either that, or invent a time machine, and go back in time and read the hub rules upon entering the hub... http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/smile.gif -****** ------------------ "But yeah, those ops are nazi's over there at the hub." - Halteh
