Do we know which MCIS demos were initially outtakes from Siamese Dream? I’ve read that Set the Ray to Jerry and Meladori Magpie were carried over from SD. Are there any others?

I didn't know the MCIS theme had been around since then. That is interesting. I knew the Bullet riff had originated from SD, just forgot to inclood it.

IIRC there's a clip in viewphoria, billy at a piano in a moose sweater, There's no audio but if you watch his hands you can make out that he's playing the MCIS theme.

In the liner notes to Mellon Collie, I think Billy mentioned they had been playing variations of Jellybelly since the early 1990s.

Set The Ray To Jerry, though a b-side, apparently dates back to Nov. '92 on that recording sessions site... Broadway rehearsals. And, of course, Infinite Sadness ended up on the original vinyl tracklist.

it's been a while since i heard one of the old songs being called "jellybelly" from that time but i remember thinking they sounded nothing like the JB from Mellon Collie

No, that was not from Viewphoria. That was from the MTV Rockumentary. afaik the MCIS dates from 94/95.

Yea, if I remember right, the old "Jellybelly" sounded more like STP. I know there's a video called "Jellybelly early version" that sounds nothing like the final track. But I looked in the liner notes for MCIS, and Billy sure enough mentions they had been playing the song in some form since the early 1990s.

it was listed as 'The Other Side' on the tape that Billy gave to that fan back in 2000 or so
