I've only read articles about it. It works, but also has very strange side effects

Yeah I know Bonnie but I want to hear some personal testimony. I heard the negatives but they seem to occur to people who are already extremely unstable or depressed or do other drugs while on Chantix.
You should start smoking a pack a day and then try to quit using Chantix and tell me how it went. Get to it Bonnie, you have homework to do! |

I work for the truth - the anti-tobacco movement - and as a result, I get to talk to hundreds of people a week and get to hear alllll about their efforts to quit.
Whenever I run into somebody who's recently quit, I ask them how they did it - and usually I hear one of two responses - Chantix or Cold Turkey. I think that the patches and stuff could work if your personality is right, but I haven't met very many of those folks. I've only heard one or two complaints about how it jacks ya up. I think if you're ready to quit, it's worth a shot if you've got insurance. Granted, I haven't ever smoked/haven't ever had the need for it, but I've talked to lots of satisfied customers. |

I used it. It works. It gives you a ton of fucked up dreams and I've come to miss them. I swear they were the most vivid and amazing sleep experiences I've ever had.
As for the smoking part, if you are committed to quitting it makes it really easy. By my quit date I was ready to throw my pack out and never look back. I've been clean for several months now and only cheat when I'm drinking heavily. Luckily once the morning comes I have no desire to smoke again. I give it thumbs up. |

Thanks. I enjoy my line of work. If it's any consolation to you, I work on the Utah branch of it, which isn't nearly as cool as the overarching campaign.
Plus, we have the lowest smoking rate in the nation to begin with, so it's not like I'm really benefiting any body's life by helping them to quit an addiction that robs them of thousands of dollars and years of healthy, productive life. |
