Cymbal Rush is NOT a new Radiohead song....
Thom Yorke To Release Solo LP
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke will release his first solo album, The Eraser, July 11, the record's label, XL Recordings, announced on Friday. This shortish longplayer will feature nine new songs by Yorke. There currently isn't much else available on the album, and the new website for The Eraser features predicably cryptic artwork, a password field and not much else. Yorke sent a message to the W.A.S.T.E. Radiohead fanclub list that said the following about the new record: "this is just a note to say that something has been kicking around in the background that i have not told you about. its called The Eraser. nigel [Godrich]produced & arranged it. i wrote and played it. the elements have been kicking round now for a few years and needed to be finished & i have been itching to do something like this for ages. it was fun and quick to do. inevitably it is more beats & electronics. but its songs." Ah Radiohead, haters of Bush and capital letters. The album was produced by Radiohead collaborator Godrich and features artwork by frequent Radiohead artist Stanley Donwood. So it'll probably look and sound just like a Radiohead album, right? Yorke's one step ahead of you: "yes its a record! no its not a radiohead record," he wrote. OK, so maybe it'll only sound sort of like a Radiohead record, meaning it'll probably sound like a Muse record. Tracklist For The Eraser: 01. The Eraser 02. Analyse 03. The Clock 04. Black Swan 05. Skip Divided 06. Atoms For Peace 07. And It Rained All Night 08. Harrowdown Hill 09. Cymbal Rush |

nope.
Here's the source. Now we know why the previous press release said "no plans to release a new radiohead album this year" or whatever... |

well this thread made me mention the july 11th release date in the other thread, forgot to mention it heh.
speaking of muse, their new album, black holes and revelations, comes a week before thom's album comes out. good music this summer. |
