I listened to both of those, Joseph. I liked Heavy Rocks. I will revisit when I get stoned.

Since this is the last band I will probably ever see live now that life is over, I thought I'd give this a throw. I haven't checked into any of their new stuff post '90s but this was pretty decent for corny white guy flannel rock. I might have to do a deep dive into the rest of their discography just to see if there's anything else of note I've missed.

Listening to Oasis for the first time (besides Wonderwall) and it boggles my mind that simply mimicking the Beatles led them to becoming one of the best selling artists of all time. Currently on their second album What's the Story (Morning Glory). Won't be listening to any more albums.

it blows my mind that people can claim to only hear Beatles impersonation when they listen to Oasis. Liam may love Lennon more than life itself, but he's still pretty distinctively Liam FOOKIN' Gallagher

I just listened to Polytene by Feeder and man do they wanna be SD era SP. Although one song lifted a riff from "Snail". But I think Snail would fit well on SD.

Instrumentally, spot-on. Well-produced and catchy as hell, but the overly self-aware lyrics kind of kill the mood and make me feel like I'm listening to mid-2000s Weezer.

my tidal subscription is ending this month
I'm listening to Team Sleep self titled one more time because it sounds so good there
I'll miss distinguishing the acoustic guitar from the other instruments

new Trail of Dead fucks.

Listened to a couple of favorites from back in the day for the first time in a little while:

Some of the lyrical content is a little cringe, like listening to a 14 year old who just discovered sex/porn, but still has great beats and undeniable flow.

I mean, c'mon. It's dredg. Always gonna have a special place in my heart for those first two albums especially.

i'd ask if Dr. Octagon were too, but any time a "sequel" has come out of that project so far it's been pretty uh... suspect?

I heard that as well. I am ready for it. Barring Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy (god, I hate just typing that out) I have enjoyed everything they've put out immensely. Any thoughts on Black Map? I really liked the first album. Second didn't quite click with me, though.

They used Blue Flower at the end of an episode of Silicon Valley I just watched and it reminded me that I hadn't given that album a listen in a long while, nor had I explored the discography further.
