Home remedies for a sore throat?

i don't want to wait 2 hours at a tiny doc's office where i can't control the tv for a 30second appt that i pay 20 bucks for if i can get rid of this on my own.

my throat is all red and blotchy from sinus drainage and i don't know who gave it because no one i know is sick so i also don't know what it is. i don't think i have a fever but i know my lymphnodes and the like are swollen.

isn't gargling honey a good thing? i am just taking tylenol sinus stuff. i suck at this

no dont gargle honey, gargle salt water. put about a tsp of salt in a glass of warm water and gargle with it.

i have a sore throat at the moment, i usually find a hot bath with a hot cuppa works best, try and sleep sitting up if thats possible.

Do this. I had a serious sinus infection once and my throat got totally screwed up and I had to do this. It's horrible but it works. Do it often.

It's always recommended to me to gargle salt water. Personally I'd rather just have a sore throat than do that.
