FOL - (Hyundai Ad) [does a lossless version of this exist?]
I think the mp3 on that website is the only available version so far.

1979 - New Originals 1799 Remix
I think I have this on vinyl, and also as part of a compilation/mix cd. The cd version is easiest to rip, of course, but it's not a song with a proper start or end.

Hello Kitty Kat (Alternate Mix) from "Siamese Dream (Advnanced Cassette Promo)"
I must have this somewhere.

spaceboy (live) - nme brat pack cassette
I have the cassette, but I don't have the means to make a transfer. I might have another transfer somewhere though. Not sure.

bullet (live) - launch
I have this, but it's from the same show as that French "Live in Chicago 23.10.95" promo cd. Not sure how interesting it would be to add this.

1979 (live) - Endsessions Vol. 2
Tell me more about this. Haven't heard about it before.

ava adore (live) - live on letterman promo
Have it.

Age of Innocence (live) - live x 6 - walk unafraid
Have it.

songs to upgraded from cd source:
* my dahlia
* sun
* rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
* teitbite nu-wave batcave mix

I have all of these.
I think it's Sun that ends with a couple of seconds of silence and then the sound of a needle of a record player lifting off the vinyl. Like it's the end of the vinyl side. Not really ideal for a compilation.
I have two sources for the Batcave mix. A South-American promo (silver cd), and a in-house promo cd-r. There might be a mastered-premaster difference. Which one is most interesting?

Is the To Sheila live at Bridge Benefit already part of this compilation. I believe this is only available on iTunes: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/M...02402&s=143441
(Does anyone know if this is available as iTunes Plus yet? Or what is that newer format called?)

I'm interested in this one. Apparently there are two different versions of the remix.

You can't put home made compilations on what.cd

It's a Machina era recording of the track from this show. It might not even be worth adding, I don't know. 'The End' radio station in Seattle would host these Endsessions in which a band would play to a small audience. They've put out a few compilations with various tracks from the sessions.

I have the CD around somewhere and would be more than happy to upload a FLAC version (or even the whole CD, I remember it being a pretty mixed bag) or whatever if anyone is interested.

No idea, but I've seen it a lot that words get replaced in quotes, mainly by the letter A. I haven't seen that happen when I quote someone though.
Maybe it's browser censorship? A bug in the vBulletin software? A virus?

Here it is (let me know if it didn't work, I've never converted to a FLAC file on a mac before):

1979 (live) FLAC

And here's an mp3 if anyone would prefer that:

1979 (live) mp3

Kitty Kat (original mix)
Studio
Virgin promo cassette > CDR > EAC > Wav > Flac

Set list:

1. Kitty Kat (Original Mix) 4:30

This song was originally intended to be on the Pumpkins' 1993 album Siamese Dream, but it was pulled at the last minute. This song comes from a promo cassette distributed before the album's release. The mix is different from the later release of the song under the title "Hello Kitty Kat" on the "Today" single; the vocals are not distorted on this version.

The actual title of the song on the promo cassette was "Kitty Kat".

I received this in a trade back in 1995 from a guy who owned the cassette. Unfortunately, his cassette had become partially demagnetized, so the first 1:30 of the song suffers from an annoying whooshing/phasing. I have never found anyone with another copy of this, so as annoying as that "whooshing" may be, it's the best available copy.

sing it in the shower, whatever.

It's easy enough to snip off the end of that in Audacity or something.

but is that what we really want?

i suggest cd wave editor though, for such a simple job. it's all you really need, and you can't end up with a sector boundary error. why go through the trouble of fixing them and maybe "fixing" them incorrectly, if they can be avoided?

I'm confused. Isn't Walk Unafraid an R.E.M. track? Isn't it Age of Innocence on the CD?
