It's all entirely very impressive but I have absolutely no frame of reference for what tricks I should be particularly impressed with.

Even the poor bastard entry-level contestants at those competitions would be impressive to me.

That's why I like that you can hear when the crowd goes wild a few times, I would guess that those are the particularly challenging tricks.

yea juggling is definitely the worst. my original post was yo-yos or juggling but i then remembered how awful hackey sack is.

i can't even take hackey-sacking seriously

top three worst to less worst

1. hackey sacking
2. juggling
3. yo-yos

i feel like i get it and maybe i should be more specific that jugglers are actually worse than juggling. but when he talks about the different patterns i mostly think of hand-drum patterns and the mathematics/physics of that and i would put hand-drumming way lower on the list than juggling.

i wonder what the percentage is of good jugglers who are also good drummers.
