That Safari EP is great. And I just listened to Beyond yesterday. Their reunion stuff is really impressive.

i just went to the local home audio store and bought this sucker on impulse at noon:

http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/produc...nema/azur-651p

anyone know anything about phono preamps? think this is a good value? sounds noticeably better than the built-in phono input i've been using on my reciever for the past seven years.

BORIS - PINK

Man that thing was loud...I listened to it while mowing...then I tried listening to The Breeders' Last Splash...to much of a volume difference as it was too quiet compared to Pink...the mower overpowered the rawk.

breeders last splashed is mixed before the infamous loudness war i believe, it's every bit as "loud", just turn it up faggot*

*not a homophobic comment. it is a clever reference to the first deerhunter album, who feature an openly homosexual frontman.

Im listening to the monks now.

There's something so primal about 60's garage rock. Not even punk gets to this level of pure savage

I love it

so you listen to one song, and you're like "title tk is my favourite"?
and then when i talk albums, you're like "i'm talking about the song"?

owkay...
so "favourite album" means "i heard one song and i think that song is cool".
"best album ever" must be that you've listened to the whole album at least once and you liked it.
i think i've mentioned this before, but when you say an album is just "good", does that mean you actually dislike it?

i think this is generally what's going on, he's feigning interest in a lot of this stuff to appear hip and impress older people or something. i have a hard time believing a 20 year old guy has listened to all of this post-punk that he says he has. i think it's far more likely that he listens to a few tracks on spotify and then fakes it

I had both albums on my phone with headphones on. Turned up to tha max brutha! Still too quiet for mowing but oh well. I took a complete left turn and listened to Seal which was about in the middle volume-wise.

I got the Deerhunter reference too

I don't like saying "I like/love [insert artist]" until I've heard a large portion of their discography. Same for an album. It's like The Cure, I probably will like a large portion of their discography based on the hits I've heard but I just haven't given them a proper listen...so I can't really say "I love The Cure" until then. Why am I wasting time on Netphoria instead of listening to The Cure?

What?

I've listened in full to all The Breeders albums except the newest one. I've been a fan for almost as long as I've liked The Pumpkins.

I was saying that Title Tk is my favorite and The She is a cool song.
Jeez
