bill is such a cheapskate

Bill was an early innovator who found out no one cares about digital singles and they will disappear

It would've been better had it just been a regular album. And a Billy solo album at that. It would've been fine then.

TGBK would've been a lot cooler if it was produced by someone who knew what they were doing who told Corgan to shut up and play the way everybody likes.

He ruined it by announcing it was going to be a 44 song "fools journey", whatever the fuck that all meant. Before even recording, possibly writing, all 44 songs.
He should've worked on the songs, or at least sketched out the release order for the first 10 - 20, then announced it when he had something to release. Could've stacked the first 4 / 5 songs in one go, then released one a month or whatever way made sense. As it was, he didn't have the material, people got bored with the concept, the gaps became too long between releases, some songs were sub-par (as *singles* - they might have been ok in the context of an album flow), and obviously his own attention span and ego got in the way. He wasn't gonna fill stadiums based on single mp3s coming out. |

Why some people keep blaming mastering mixing or db levels is beyond me. I mean production is pretty bad but the songs are uninteresting at best and at the end of the day that's the only thing that matters
MCIS home demos are recorded with a cassette player and are out of this world. |

If Billy wrote and recorded MCIS home demos today, they would sound... firmly of this world. I think there is potential in a lot of the SP2.0+ material. It's just being driven by the whims of the one true lord. |
