I have a very fond memory of walking up to my dorm on a beautiful day in early spring senior year and looking up, and 28if and our friend who is now an episcopal priest were hanging out our window/dancing on the 3rd floor blasting this song, waving at me like crazy with their shirts pulled up over their heads

oh simpler times

3. yes female brains may be "wired" to nurturence but the differences within gender are bigger than between genders. meaning, anyone can be anything, because gender is not the biggest factor between skillsets besides possibly for purely physical measures. the strongest possible man would be stronger than the strongest possible female, but the vast majority of females could be stronger than most males depending on each one's training.

i am debating whether i should educate you about why culture is much more important than any slight evolved differences in male/female brains but it's probably a wasted effort. let's do a TL;DR = human culture has advanced so much in such a short period of time that we are essentially evolving ourselves through technology and pursuit of science/philosophy/art that our evolutionary "nature" (which recently was women gathering and men hunting, primarily, with perhaps one or two woman per family taking care of all of the related children) has really been superseded more than could reasonably be measured.

this is coming from someone who wrote a thesis based on evolutionary psychology, who does buy into a lot of evolutionary explanations for the basis of many human behaviors, especially sexual behavior and cooperative behaviors. many others in the field are much more hardline than me and think all gender differences are bullshit.
Did you not read the thread? I said initially that it was from a baseball forum.

It's true. It's something that's being demonized in the culture today. It's more cool to be a limp-wristed nerd. It's absurd.

i am going to assume you have no idea about the original context of the vast majority of terms you use, because i don't think you truly mean to be so rude. right?

Just think, 'Lexis. He could be describing your daughter as "all woman" in as little as fifteen or sixteen years.

the first dream I had where I killed someone and enjoyed it, I was swinging an axe into the face of a man who had molested my son. Don't poke the mama bear.

I am surprised to hear about women in STEM. I think nearly half of my childhood and adolescent female friends are now in STEM jobs.

But I went to heathen progressive liberal schools that viewed being a housewife or taking a "female" role like teaching or nursing, something that you did if you were too stupid to get a science degree.

I remember a guy coming to my class when I was maybe 11 or 12, and saying that many university graduates right now only have business or accounting degrees, so if you want a job in any discipline, you should do a double degree and make one of them pure science so that prospective employers can see that you are capable of learning and understanding more complicated information.
