http://forums.netphoria.org/wwwboard/icons/icon14.gif Great album. I'll get to see him in a couple of weeks. Can't wait.
The Gutter Twins' album is also one of this year's highlights for me.

give it another listen. i was underwhelmed at first too, but i listened to it for a couple of times last night too and i thought it really wasn't that bad at all

so, Gish08, it's definitely you.

also, it's barely july yet. mogwai's album comes out in septemeber and there are a couple of other things to really look forward to. pa-tience.

So many bands are putting out albums this year I'm not sure how anyone can make a statement that music sucks this year.

Yeah I like the new Sigur Ros. Some real good stuff on there. I also throughly enjoyed how Portishead evolved/changed styles a bit with Third.

Seriously it's almost hard to name bands that are not putting out albums this year. I've been telling people that there is a good chance this will be one of those legendary years for music. If you can't find something in this to be excited about you need to give up on music. Even The Music Tapes are finally putting out a new album.

i saw them in a very, very unique venue with a sound system that is one of 5 in the world, that rivals all others, yet they insisted that their shit bose 5.1 touring surround system was better than the house system. 90% of the house suffered and heard a boring show because all the sound was centrally located, where nobody was. every other show ive seen at this venue has blown my underwear off me and inserted large black dildos into my ass.
