All the effects on top of this rocking song were mildly disturbing at first.

well at the very least, the song is very much crushing me into dust with metal but i think the live version was much better.

That depends on what you're paid to hear.

I like it a lot more with Ginger backing Billy than Billy backing Billy

B0lly backing b0lly backing b0lly, those multitracked vox are epic!

It's remarkably slower on the album but it's still rather rocking.

Awesome sounding with headphones. I made the mistake of listening to it on my speakers quietly the 1st time.

My lies have burnt yet again.

the only gripe i have is the "to find oWWWWWWWWut part"...i think that's WAY too jarring and annoying but the rest of it is pretty decent to say the very least. It kicks the everlasting gayz in the nuts, that's for sure.

wHATcOLORS avatar and the title of the song have given me an idea for a great porno movie.

Doomsday Cock. Terrorists have inserted a bio weapon into the balls of a random dude that is set to detonate in 24 hours or upon his death. It is up to a bevy of talented (and foxy) CIA agents to withdrawal the weapon and secure the safety of mankind.

THe more layered billys the better he feels. I picture a room full of billy clones singing when listening to doomsday. sounds good at least

i loved the live version...

and i still like this song... but i think i prefer it live!!!

Ginger is much better at backing.

its alot quicker/heavier live.

and it doesnt have that awful vocal effect towards the end when it slows down...

still. - its pretty good.

Then again, here's situation like Walking Shade and Mina Loy. There are two songs - both are good, and one that kicks you in the balls and one that's just around. I don't know why DC wasn't the first single, it would have as much credit and charting as Tarantula (because it's SP new single in 7 years), but it would be single I'd be proud of and at least the song gives more of "they're back" feeling.

i'm curious if the video being filmed is a. for this song. b. in support of zeitgeist and the transformers album.
The decision feels like it was rushed and someone just decided to throw money at it.

After listening to Tarantula and Doomsday Clock I'm now convincing myself this is going to be a refreshingly visceral, performance based album, something we haven't had enough of since the early days of the band. I'm still unsure of the vocal mix, it sounds like too much shouting and not enough singing to me, but I'm digging the big dumb apocolypto rock vibe that these songs have. Perhaps another minor complaint is that I don't know if either of these songs offer enough in terms of a new musical direction, but with ten more songs to go there is still plenty of promise for Zeitgeist to be worthy of the Pumpkin name. All in all it seems like it's going to be a pretty fun album. It has an unrepentant geeked-out rock vibe that reminds me of the earliest era of the band. IF YOU GO AND I WOULD STAY AND YOU WOULD CALL MY NAME. I WOULD CRY, YES I WOULD CRYYYY!

walking in or walking out....
