Also, it's compete bullshit that Matt Cassel's rushing touchdown didn't count because the play was whistled dead when he didn't even go down.

Seriously. I think it's a positive sign that they said it was an ankle injury and did not just keep quiet about it like they did when McNabb tore his ACL. Then, you knew it was really bad.

Hey Mods... why don't we just rename this thread GENERAL NFL TALK and sticky it so that all NFL gabbing can stay in here throughout the year and we can laugh at the end of the season at people who make ridiculous predictions.

I really hate how NBC's scoreline doesn't indicate who has possession.

Good game, the crowd was decent. There was a surprising amount of Steeler fans at the game. We are fucked big time if Westbrook is out. Something that constantly amazes me when I go to Eagles games is how often McNabb does not notice completely wide open wide receivers. He was doing this a lot in the 2nd half.

I'm so tired of seeing the punt team after watching the Steelers/Eagles game and the first half of the Dallas/Green Bay game.

Seriously, WTF? It boggled my mind that Pittsburgh stuck with the passing game, especially considering Ben's shoulder, throughout the game rather than goin' with their bread 'n butter of just runnin' the ball down Philly's throat. Pitt's coaching staff surely knew that after watching his D get embarrassed against Dallas six days ago, Jim Johnson was gonna go full throttle with blitzes. But yet they let 'em beat the crap outta Ben anyway.
As for Westbrook, if it doesn't turn out to be season-ending, I think this injury will keep him out 6-8 weeks, and it'll be one of those things where even when he is cleared to play, he still won't be 100%. If the offense shows it can manage without him next Sunday night in Chicago, then I guess I'll take a sip of the Kool-Aid and say that this team will at least make the playoffs (keep in mind, Eagle fans, both the Giants and Cowboys are 3-0). |

Andy Reid said today that Westbrook is day to day and could be ready to play Sunday in Chicago.

It's a mixed bag. He still plays most of the time (even though he'll keep you up on Saturday nights scouring the injury report) and he puts up numbers that only LT2 and ADP can match. I'm torn between wanting him to be OK (so that my team performs well) and hoping he has a career ending injury as I don't like the Eagles and it would be nice to watch Banana cry.

Also great prediction you had there with the Eagles-Steelers game, you were right about the Eagles defense not being good. |

So the Steelers played like shit. I did say you were overrating the Eagles defense as being the best in the league. One game doesn't change the fact that they gave up 41 points the week before.

The Steelers played like shit? Way to completely avoid giving credit to the Eagles defense as to why the Steelers played like shit. Completely dominant defensive performance by this defense against a top AFC team. And they did so after a short week having played half way across the country on Monday Night. Also, the Eagles in three weeks have faced Stephen Jackson, Marion Barber, and & Willie Parker and yet they have what is the top ranked run defense in the league. |

Congratulations if there are any Detroit Lions fans on here. Matt Millen's reign of terror is over. He was axed today.
