I feel like I'm the only person who didn't like Mulholland Drive. It just seemed like a bunch of fucked-up shit for the sake of fucked-up shit, and didn't really tie together at all in the end. At least I didn't get it. But it sort of seemed to me like the audience wasn't SUPPOSED to get it either, and that just pissed me off.

Mulholland Drive Spoiler Alert!
:: :: :: The first 2/3 of the movie are Naomi Watts' fantasy about how life in LA should have been, with a gf dependent on her. The last 30 minutes are the reality of her life, and of Hollywood, with her gf cheating on her. Club Silenco is the strange meeting point of the two. That's how I've had it explained to me anyway. It makes sense. |
