Default A song about Target Individualism:

It all started here on , so I guess it begins to get finished here as well:

Doing an endorsement for Target sounds awfully lucrative.

Congratulations, Meegman.

Sounds killer man! The vocals on this one kind of remind me of a mix between Layne Staley and Ozzy.

You gotta give the full band treatment to some of these tracks man. Some sludging drums to go with it would sound devastating

Various distortions and fuzzes through a PS-6 Harmonist for that Godzilla phatness for this song/idea. I think this one is the MXR Fullbore metal...tough pedal to tame, but I manage now and again. The tone in my rig jumped significantly when I got the Mesa-Boogie High Wire buffer.

Full band treatment? All in due time. I've just recently got used to the idea of doing a solo project, mainly because I can do that now, whereas before a band was the vehicle I would jump on and collaborate with, this project I'm the one building the ride.

T.I. stands for Targeted Individual. It typically refers to a person who is being surveilled and harassed electronically where things like computer hacks of email accounts is but the tip of the iceberg.

I did a beta-test on this forum many moons ago to get an idea of how detailing my experience as a T.I. could go. It went pretty much as expected. I'm quite used to the cynicism I get and would get should I push forward with this project in much greater detail.

So, as far as I know, there is no official title as yet for Billy's upcoming solo album...unofficially, per Sierra Swan I guess, the title is: The Land of Maybe

So I kept my mouth shut and let that slide, kinda waiting for something official. Doesn't really matter now...it's not like Billy has refuted what she stated since then and even if doesn't end up with that title, he made sure it made the rounds and that I would catch wind of it eventually.

If only I was just spied upon, that would've been easy. Maybe you didn't catch this at the time bonnie, but this here is for you if/when you get the time to check it out:

The Land of Win!!! [a fable full of allegory]

The suggested title of The Land of Maybe, is quite likely, more rhyme and riddled communique between him and myself (this goes back to '99-00 and as fate would have it, we ended up with a genuine mutual friend who was something of a go-between messenger girl between us: Fysche).

Since it had been a number of years since anything like this had taken place, I was not as callous to it I had become to such things from about '04 to '07.

In his own way, in like, the only way this adept psychic a-hole can be sometimes, he's pushing me, one more time, perhaps one last time. The Muzzle acappella vid I put on the SP board was my way of telling him "alrighty then, here I come".

The Land of Maybe eh? yah...we'll see.

Hey man, just started reading through the first few pages of The Land of win thread. Was "The Land Of win" a title that you made up yourself? If so, It would be kind of curious that Billy would decide to call his album that after the curious events that had taken place.

It could be more likely though that someone from Netphoria was reading your posts and then hacking your account and sending you that 70 message just to fuck with you and that it had nothing to do with Billy.

More accurately, the term chose me for that because of all the songs I've written, that's the one I can't really claim on my own. It came down whole in an instance and took twenty minutes to finish in real time. Haven't had one like that before or since.

It fit the moment for my brothers wedding, so in lieu of a speech as best man, as a surprise, I did the song. 2 1/2 years later as the band Cancel is living in L.A. and getting offered blood contracts from major label headhunters that we kicked to the side, my brother and his wife have their first child on my birthday. That's when the God-head Universal Source reflected to me music wasn't that golden carrot I was chasing and almost got a hold of, it was that little moment at the wedding...and for that, you'll have a yearly reminder of what magic of music is truly all about.

Something about vibrations of the heart resonating frequencies that reach the Noosphere...

I get the skepticism. I have to have it myself and play devil's advocate all the time with this. I'm 17 years into it however and have a pretty good handle of what went down. Regardless of what or who my antagonist actually was, it's the sole reason I became a musician to begin with.

I'm still reading the thread. I'm actually at this message here from Slunken which pretty much sums up my thoughts so far:

"not to be a party pooper but don't you think it would be more reasonable to assume that the emails were sent by a fellow boarder? Esp back in the day when "rhyme & riddle" was the way of life in SP land. Hell, maybe T&T sent them and everyone at the time thought he was Billy or someone connected to the band placed there on purpose.

i'm not doubting the fact that there was a Rush connection and that Billy spoke of Y2K. He was a known lurker and also Y2K was on everyone's mind. I'm just not seeing the thread that would make anyone automatically assume the emails came from B.

Just playing devil's advocate. Enjoying your tale."

But the title of that thread: The Land of Win, what was that a reference from? Is that just what you were calling the happenings?

If so, it would be rather curious that Corgan would call his album The Land of Maybe

The Rush stuff is pretty crazy though. Especially with Jimmy mentioning on air about getting the book from you.

Definitely quite the happenings

TOC, not done reading your thread yet, kinda multi-tasking.

But you mention getting an e-mail seemingly sent from yourself with just a number inside?

That's happened to me before too. I'd get emails from my own address. It was some kind of popular virus that was going on at the time. I'd also get it from people on my friends or whatever too who didn't send it and it would just be gibberish or some shit inside.

Interesting thread and definitely a few oddities, But I really think you're reading too much into this man.

As someone mentioned, you guys are probably just like-minded folk, and Billy mentioning the Y2K thing and all that was likely nothing more than a coincidence

How then, pray tell, a full two weeks after Spankarine suggested I read the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas, did said "fellow boarder" know when I left home to read it and knew then to send me that email when I got back home? Lucky guess on their part?

The Land of Win is a poem and it's at the beginning of that old thread. Pretty much the first piece of art I ever really did. I wrote it sitting in line at the in-store signing at Virgin in S.F. back then in 2000. It was among the handful of items I handed over to Billy and band like everybody did during that time.

Yes...since it happened to me it's somewhat necessary I read too much into it. What is difficult to get across is the physical sensation one feels when under a plasma ray device that connects to your chakra's and essentially electrifies the nervous system with the ability to pinpoint areas like the pineal gland. Best way to describe it is like having static electricity on your scalp and also close to that tingly sensation you feel when blood starts rushing back into an arm or leg that fell asleep. These sensations lasted for the better part of a year and slowly faded over time as I learned and needed to stop engaging it after a while.

Hey man, I don't mean to come across as insensitive. The email stuffs odd for sure, but it's as if you're taking a lot of leaps of faith here.

Now the fact that he would name his solo album so close to your poem and thread, that's certainly the oddest part of all.
