But please do partake in the discussion as to why Pearl Jam has put out nothing but insufferable poopers since the late 80s.

They were pretty important in the grunge scene, though. I enjoy Even Flow and Alive occasionally, but I'm not much of a fan. I just think they released the right shit at the right time.

See, listening to that video you linked makes me think people back in 1992 had shit for brains if they found that kind of music appealing. At least Cobain knew how to write.

Precisely.

I don't even like Pearl Jam, but this thread is like that table at lunch in high school where the two skeevy kids who like to set things on fire and smelled really bad sat by themselves.

I will say that being drunk at a PJ show about 3/4 years back with seats behind the stage looking down at Matt Cameron was pretty sweet. I swear Eddie must have went through 2 bottles of wine during the set, and he didn't miss a beat. Jeff Ament would always come back and rock out to the back part of the audience too... Was pretty cool. I've seen some shows with those seats where the band acts as if no one is back there.
It was pretty gnarly singing along to Alive with a packed house of 18000 other people... With the seats we had you could really look out and appreciate how the arena was packed in like sardines. If you hate Pearl Jam, see em live... That's my advice. |

can't stand Pearl Jam. I hate the band name, I hate the vocals, I think the instrumentation is boring

some folks are probably gonna disagree with me on this but
Eddie Vedder is really not as good a vocalist as he thinks he is |

In the movie Rules of Attraction, when Patrick Bateman's nephew sang a song on acoustic guitar to the bimbo before fucking her, that's how i see Eddie Vedder.
