Conan has been infinitely better without any writers. A little bit due to the beard.

Wow. The only show I watch on there is Scrubs.

I actually laughed my ass off watching Conan for the first time ever when he was doing the zip line thing. I think the funniest part about it is the fact that they have to figure out things to do to "waste" time. Did anyone catch the battle between Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Conan?

No he doesn't...that's the point. All Stewart and Colbert have to do is talk about politics for a half hour. They do that all the time, that's Stewart's specialty...do to what he does, he doesn't need the writers. But it's funny.

Like what was it that Colbert said he was pegging on the writers? He was like "Just write to me and tell me why you aren't guilty of this crime"...I forget exactly what it was all about, I'm sure someone knows better than me but that shit was hilarious.

Look at my 'International Marketing Is Amazing' thread for a link to that CR episode.

Colbert's doing just fine without writers, but Stewart... well, he isn't as funny as he thinks he is. Anyway, I'm glad this all soon will be over.

Lawrence was asked to write one last episode when the strike began, but he refused to, saying that there was still so much to happen. I'm looking forward to that.

Well, at least for me, Stewart is more of the "Look at this, isn't this fucked up? Doesn't this piss you off? How ridiculous!" and Colbert is more the funny satire, ha-ha, look at the balls on that guy...you know? (Not literally, come on...)

I think Stewart is fine not being a clown like Colbert is, I like them both for their separate shticks.

This is pretty cool, it went on for a while. I'm glad that less-established shows are able to continue.

Colbert and Stewart are doing well without writers, but I can tell the difference.

Yeah, he does that. They just brought in an MIT professor to break the record, which he did!
But last nights where he took an audience member around the studios causing a ruckus was one of the funniest bits on the show.

The Colbert Report was awful without writers. Jon Stewart can get away with it because he ad libs so much anyway but Steve-o is a script guy. And he delivers it like a champion, I'm just saying..
