Dried up? It's still going strong. I had forgotten about it until someone mentioned it was still going. I know major torrents sites that have come and gone yet Soulseek is amazingly still here. I would say Soulseek is booming and hasn't missed a step in the last 15 years. It's only gotten more massive.

I do find it funny that, currently, Pearl Jam's Ten is at #68 and Nirvana's Nevermind is at #137 in the Billboard 200. Aren't those the albums Billy claimed stifled Smashing Pumpkins success with Gish in the 90s?

Perhaps but for obvious reasons. Nevermind was poppy grunge that appealed to the masses. And Ten appealed to the more grungy gungesters. Gish was not really grunge at all.

It wasn't about grunge, but the numbers. Billy was mad about how many albums they sold. To him, the numbers Gish sold, which he felt was a big accomplishment until Ten and Nevermind sold crazy. Billy now felt his success didn't look so great now after the huge success of these albums. You know Billy and his envy for other people's success. This is what sent Billy into a depression, hence him wanting to commit suicide when he wrote Today. This pushed him to make Siamese Dream. It's something he spoke about. Hey, it helped push him to make a great album. I'm not knocking Gish or Siamese Dream. Siamese Dream, like Nevermind and Ten, carved their place in music history.

I just thought it was funny. Here we are in the year 2020, nearly 30 frigging years later, and Billy's new "gamechanger" of an album is up against the very same two nearly 30 year old albums whose success sent Billy into a depression. I'd like to see where Cyr charts.

You mean if Cyr's minor success sends Billy into a depression and it drives Billy to make a better, stronger album?

Jeez, it's even in the top 200? I see AC/DC has a new album that was #1? I know about 5 of the top 100. Jeez I am old.

Billy's gonna be unhappy. Apparently, none of his hordes of youtube and fb fans bothered buying this "amazing" new album

I recall it took a while for Shiny to show up. When will we know if it flopped?

to be honest guys.. if Billy would have skipped Cotillions completely (which was a steaming pile of garbage anyways) and just released Cyr as a Billy Corgan solo album and sequel to TFE.. I feel it would have been a lot more honest, and been embraced a lot better too.

Cotillions is easily one of if not the best song he's put out recently, tho..
