Most older and retired cops see a problem with the younger recruits and how they are changing the culture. As we all know, many of them are ex-military who aren't necessarily cut out to be good cops. The training has changed and the motive for many is to be a cop for a decade or two and move on to private security and get paid. There's less of a desire to assimilate to the old Protect and Serve culture and be a real part of the community.
