I know Billy has been an asshole forever, but I think we've reached a new low. In the past, he berated a fan for coming on stage and saying the previous night's show sucked. Another time he got snippy because someone asked if Courtney Love killed Kurt Cobain. But now he's insulting fans just for being fans. Even though he has not berated me personally (yet), if someone asks a question I might have asked myself, and he insults them for it, I feel as if it might as well have been directed at me. So I'm saying it now: I will not actually pay for SOSBV1NPNFNS.

& i know what incident you're talking about here but surely it was staged?

in any case, i don't disagree w/ what you're saying in the rest of the post. Saying "this song was so good, why wasn't it on the album?" may not be the most interesting of questions but it could certainly have a more interesting answer than the pre-teen sarcasm he's spouting out for shit like that

Most rock stars don't do these sorts of social media Q&As in the first place; why does he do them knowing their is a high probability that, in his own imagination, fans will impugn his artistic integrity and ask nosy questions? Because obviously that's the point; shitting on the little people brings him endless joy.

Watching Billy mismanage his career over the past 20 years has been painful. He has all the talent in the world and has been given every opportunity. Yet he can’t even do an Instagram Q&A without alienating his most hardcore fans. I feel like I’m watching the prettiest girl in school faceplant down the stairs every time he makes a move.

TBH, that song would have really fit, it's exemplary of his whimsical, dreamy song writing between SD and Adore. He might have said here wanted to keep the pace of the album more upbeat. Or he can tell us to go fuck our moms, whatever works.
