A surprising number people who otherwise seem alright answer yes to the "should flag burning be illegal" question.

you gonna sit around in the cold with those flags, or get a fire going?

i answered every question honestly because what's the point otherwise
i have so many fucking obvious issues that it would have just been stupid
like i know i lose several hundred points for living w/ my parents but i said that i do and made it mandatory that a potential match was ok w/ that and several other terrible questions (drugs, attempted suicide, mental illness, etc)
still had people willing to damn talk to me and even go out w/ me

maybe the key is being completely fucked up and finding other completely fucked up people who don't care about hiding it anymore

girls in austin texas have like...fantasies. 95% of the ones my age moved here to be cool and hip and "do stuff" or whatever and they want meet a hot guy in a band or he makes furniture or something

in jersey at least they are fucking grounded by virtue of settling for living in jersey

i have to move, like...soon. i want to go somewhere "lame"

i mean most of the people i met were in nyc so that doesn't hold up
maybe people who move to nyc end up being way more beaten down than in austin

the h-town selection is pretty great. maybe not as abundant as i'd like (there's probably only about 20-30 "good" profiles i see on the reg, and then i'll only see a one or two new good ones every other day)

i think houston tbh might have a good cross section of regular down-to-earth people and a big enough town to have some interesting folks too...

i just feel like austin is some kind of wasteland for people desperately seeking coolness

that's actually not a bad suggestion. home of a burgeoning art movement and it's far enough down on the list of "BEST CITIES FOR 20-SOMETHINGS" that there aren't terribly many posers.

What the fuck is wrong with meeting girls online?

We all know i'd still be a virgin without the internet. And by we I mean at least you and me know that.

Instead I pretty much haven't been out of a relationship for longer than like 6 months in about thirteen years and that's all the internet (forums, facebook when I still used it, etc)

And while it's true I do look pretty good, my body hygiene is terribly lacking. Surely where I succeeded, a cleaner man would succeed even better.

So go forth and multiply. I mean procreate. I mean date.

Well duh.

It usually means someone is desperate. to be honest though I never went to girls. they just happened. And that was partly what was bad sometimes. Cause i'd be like, hmm, ok sure, why not. but at least on two occasions I wasn't in love with them. Anyway at first I just saw it as making up for the lack of experience I had before. I mean I didn't go out with a girl until I was 22. So I played catch up for a few years. I'd say the experience was valuable. Now i've been in a steady relationship for 6 years in which I was able to make the experience count.

In mtl, it's the exact same bullshit.

I befriended hipsters for like 5 years when I first moved here then was like fuck this shit. I'm not nerdy enough for nerds and i'm not seeking coolness enough for hipsters. It's pretty much the same as in high school. Ridiculous. I just want to meet people who don't fall into any subculture. Just people you know. With decent taste and intelligence. I feel if you identify yourself with any subculture you lack the intelligence to value individuality. Its a dirty word now. hipsters of course are the worst because while claiming that they are individuals, they end up all the the same.
