billy corgan's guitars - help me settle a bet!

it's a fact. you shouldn't make a bet with me. i don't lose bets.

my friend brian ALREADY owes me ONE HUNDRED dollars for a bet involving the book/movie "the neverending story".

and TODAY, we were listening to the radio, and "mayonnaise" (my favorite sp song) came on. we started talking about the guitar sound on the "siamese dream" record. i'm not sure exactly how we got to it, but brian said that billy corgan must have over a thousand guitars. i, of course, told him there was no way. i told him i'd bet him fifty dollars. he took the bet.

i've been searching the net, but i can't find the answer. i found that keith richards has over a thousand. keith, who's been playing music in one of the biggest bands of all time for almost half a decade. sure, he has a thousand guitars. maybe clapton has a thousand. but billy corgan? no way. maybe 150. maybe.

and a little bit ago, we raised the bet to a hundred bucks. i mean, there's NO WAY billy corgan has a thousand guitars. i just... no. no. that is... so... many. of ANYTHING.

so, i'm hoping someone out there in internet land can help me with this. if you find the answer online, let me know and paste the link for me. i'd really appreciate it.

now... what shall i do with the 200 hundred dollars i'm going to collect from this kid...
i guess i'll buy the new pumpkins record. and some new jeans. i need jeans.

ok billy just called back he says he has 1021, unless you count those double neck guitars as two guitars then he has like 1542

no I had to go shopping and didn't have time to answer your every question you ungreatfull git. When I got back (After putting the shopping away) i sat down, typed the reply and after giving corgan about an hour I called back!

But in all seriousness, I don't think anyone actually knows if billy owns over 1,000 guitars..but I really doubt it. I do know that he collects stomp boxes (esp. vintage) and other off-the wall amps and gear.
