ok confess, whose child is this? Kevin W.?
http://blogs.usatoday.com/popcandy/2...ike-the-r.html
Just like the real thing ... but with hair Today's Halloween-themed link comes courtesy of otisfirefly, aka Birmingham-based reader Kevin W. He writes: "About a month ago, my wife asked our 3-year-old son what he wanted to be for Halloween, and he said 'Smashing Pumpkins.' At only 3, yes, he is a fan. So my wife had an outfit made like the one Billy Corgan is using on tour this year. We drove over two hours to a photographer in northeast Alabama. They turned out so good, I uploaded one of my favorites." Check out Kevin's son in his cute Corgan costume: http://blogs.usatoday.com/photos/unc...0/smashing.jpg |

he's pretty cute though.
I met the mom on myspace a couple of weeks ago actually, when she commented on a blog post and she was using a photo of the kid dressed as billy as her userpic. Come on people, that's a pretty cute photo. |

I'm just not sure I'd want my kid looking like this by the time he was four.

I think it's comparable, too, because the kid really doesn't have an idea about what's going on.

it is kinda odd, but a cute photo nonetheless. the story behind it seems kinda of far-fetched, they just wanted to dress him up like billy.

i'm not sure what's a worse form of child abuse- dressing your kid up like sp2 era bill or making it wear crocs.

Background on Fallon:
Fallon has lots of soul :-) He is a very sweet child that has never ever given us the first bit of trouble. We were truly blessed with him. He struggles with severe asthma but other than that is very healthy. He has an older brother, Sasha, with autism and helps his brother as much as he can with socialization. We are a very normal family. Fallon comes from a musical background. Both dad and I grew up in bands and love music. There must be a music gene. My child watches DirecTV channel 101 instead of Little Einsteins or the Doodlebops. He likes some kid cartoons but seriously would rather watch one of his many DVD's of a concert than Nickelodeon or Disney. Him wanted to be BC was not a put on, he really did say he wanted to be him but no he won't go trick or treating like that. I am letting him go to the Pumpkins concert in his outfit though (for halloween) since it will be the same time. He will be a red power ranger for our church carnival. He was posing for the camera, no kidding. He has an ipod with loads of music of all kind. He goes to about every concert that we attend. He loves Widespread Panic and loved their concert. He really loves the Talking Heads and tries to do the same moves as Branden from Flickerstick while watching his DVD. He will not be suicidal. We are not weird parents. We are normal. People have asked if we are on drugs but we're not. We have normal jobs, we have a normal upbringing for our kids. My son just likes music and really really loves the pumpkins. He is actually in his room with a play guitar watching my recording of the Asheville, NC show in June. He knows how to work a dvd player and the TV and can pop it in himself. I won't take music away from him. He has a rough enough time understanding his brothers autism, ocd, severe behavioral disorder, seizures, and so on as it is and at the end of the day when he wants to lock himself in my room with daddy and strum his mini strat plugged into the amp I absolutely am all for it 100%. Music is HIS outlet. We are very lucky to have him. His brother is a blessing as well and is very smart, can't talk very well but is doing as well as he can. Fallon understands everything my oldest son wants without him having to use words. They do sign language when needed. He is a very good son and little brother. I hope you all have a wonderful day/night and don't knock too badly. He's 3 and he had fun doing the photos. He is very aware of everything that goes on, trust me nothing is ever slipped past him. thanks for reading, -mommy www.youtube.com/ticketwebsucks www.youtube.com/mommyvsautism Last edited by mommyvsautism : 10-10-2007 at 09:03 PM. |
