here's my take on satanic ritual abuse and satanism in general

1. most "satanists" don't worship satan. it's basically aggressive atheism and in some cases used to make a point about unfair religious privilege of christians.
2. people do practice SRA and sacrifice children and shit. but it's usually just a cover for child rape/multi-generational pedophilia rings and such, and the people at the top probably don't really believe in it.

Probably the most common type of "cult" activity is pseudo-Christian (polygamist colonies and such).

What I'm talking about is mentioned briefly in that article (which is, BTW, probably one of the most hotly contested mental health related wikipedia article) as pseudo-satanism: people using the trappings of "satanism" to sexually abuse children in small group situations. To scare the children.

But yeah "sacrificing children" is probably not done or very rare. I do know people for example who were put in double bind situations, forced to hurt another kid or be hurt themselves and stuff like that. I know one person who witnessed a murder at around 5 years old (verified by evidence) who also says she was abused in a satanistic group type setting. I know several people who claim the same thing and I don't think any of them are lying, possibly remembering incorrectly things that happened to them as confused children (or maybe not. who am I to say?). But this one person, because of the corroborating evidence of the murder she saw (the murder was of an adult, not a child), and a few other things makes me believe it did happen.

She is actually a therapist now, though she doesn't work with PTSD/dissociative patients regularly. Like me, I don't know if she will ever be able to. She is almost twice my age, though.

However, I did see many more people who claimed abuse in pseudo-christian cults when I was in a PTSD hospital. Mostly as children, although there was a person who was kidnapped as an adult and one person from Scientology. Most were "just" abused repeatedly by their fathers and/or mothers and/or grandparents.

Most "satanists" are just wannabes, who are actually cafeteria Catholics/ex Catholics, atheists or call themselves humanists. Some of them would shit their pants if they really came across the demonic. Some are just out to trigger Christians for the fun of it, and many are just dabblers in the occult.. dipping their toe into the satanic temple's bullshit. But the ones who do really worship satan are worshiping satan and other demonic entities. The satanic temple doesn't really worship satan... they are just in it to trigger people and mess around. The real satanists think the satanic temple is like a bunch of basement teenagers who watched the craft and want to be witches.

You have to admit the food we are getting is disgusting. I try to get grass fed beef or free range chicken because the hormones in the beef were making me sick. But even organic is not necessarily free of chemicals either. Best thing to do is get a farm, raise chickens and beef and have an organic garden. Which is something I've often wanted to do but I'm impatient and don't know how to take care of livestock.
