That particular question is probably trying to determine your opinion on immigrants rather than your belief of how your society will treat them. That said you can be in favor of limited immigration and not be xenophobic (like me). I’m not entirely sure what I believe in regarding immigration but I don’t support open borders which is a libertarian position (I used to support open borders but was convinced it’s unrealistic). I would like for everyone to be able to move to wherever they want (borders are man made after all) but it’s simply not feasible and can hurt workers. I definitely don’t support the inhumane way Trump treats immigrants.
