Gossamer
How do we feel about Gossamer in 2020?
When I was young and dumb, I thought Gossamer was a colossal waste of time, but now, I kind of appreciate it? It was maybe the last gasp of SP1 psychedelic self indulgence like the MCIS Silverfuck or Transmission. Also the Grand Rex version with The Stooges 1969 tease is cool |

Also this is one of the most humiliating moments of SP2. 5 years prior they were playing it at Rock Am Ring. Then, playing it on the concourse of an arena with a truck in the background.

I think it's great. It's a shame there wasn't a studio version. Not necessarily a 30 minute studio version, a good 10 - 12 minutes would've done me.

the 15-20 minutes versions they played in May/June 2007 were great, as were the versions on the 20th Anniversary Tours. The 30-40 minutes versions from the residencies just ran out of steam.

i've always loved me some GOSSAMER. I even liked billy's solo acoustic gossamer from 2017 solo tour. TORONTO 2008 GOSSAMER is wayyyy better than TORONTO 2012 GOSSAMER that's for sure. FUCK mike.
