Default Who are you listening to most right now?

For me, Lovesliescrushing. Been listening to a fair bit of shoegaze recently, these guys are really taking over my listening time right now. Beauty in chaos, fast becoming my favourite band within this genre though they certainly pioneer beyond it.

suprisingly, the pumpkins

I pretty much stopped listening to them 6 months ago, and even then it was sporadic.

Built To Spill due to their "Perfect from now on" album. Great dreamy guitars.

Murder By Death (again), Pumpkins (as always..) and Mogwai (can't wait for the concert).
Oh yeah, and since my g/f just mentioned it - I could listen to the new Beck for hours.

Good point, Mogwai have been on heavy rotation with me as well recently, along with Elbow.

nadja i feel is even worse - it's like he took the worst parts of his music and made a side project for it.

yes. why is that? i don't even think shoegaze is all that bad but the hype is blown out of all proportion. and almost all modern shoegaze bands are really lame

you guys are so boring
because shoegaze is far better and prettier than what has been discussed on this board lately:

noise. the new Cure. Barden's shitty enmity band. Chromeo. Scott Weiland. Supertramp. Pearl Jam superthread. broken social scene. magik markers. sunburned hand of the man. The Stills. CSS. Margot and the Nuclear Awful. Depeche Mode in 2008. and Jay-Z. did i mention noise?

that's just the first two pages. let's not talk about the upcoming shows thread.
