The fact that it's on the 25th anniversary is super spooky. Do you think Cooper will be back, with... Erm... You know, that thing that happened?

my guess is evil coop had been running amok for 25 years while real coop was in the Lodge

i think the main reason they brought it back is because now that it has been 25 years frost and lynch were like "how could we NOT do anything about this"

the first season was pretty great. then second season the ratings were dropping and the writers had to wrap up the murder mystery, or something. anyway a lot of the second season is kinda whack and meandering. but i would give the full show a marathon

no but i'll probably check it out. i need to rewatch it too but really don't feel like sitting through a lot of that season two stuff

i wonder if FWWM will tie into this at all... it had a few things unique to the universe

I'm more excited than I care to admit. I've been a defender of Lynch's latter day stuff (I really like inland empire) and I have faith in him and frost to do it right. That said if Kyle McLachlan isn't the lead I'm not in.

i'm surprised so many 'fans' hated Inland Empire... it was basically a reimagining of a lot of Twin Peaks' concepts just on a bigger scale.

Oh man, Inland Empire. Excellent.

I have it on DVD and I've watched it several times back to back, trying to figure it out. it's funny, most of the other films, most people have the same interpretation or at least there's a commonly held interpretation of the films. But not Inland Empire. No one knows.

I'm pretty sure I've cracked the code though, I think I've figured 75% of it out.

oh so now I'm a "fan" because I don't like inland empire? pft. i loved Eraserhead, actually seen it a few dozen times. it's torture. it isn't pleasant. it makes me want to kill myself. its great. but I'm only a "fan" and like everything he's done except inland empire. I dont like inland empire and you can all die in a fire.

I do like it. And clear blue easy. Eraserhead may be his best but you can't watch that shit every weekend. his most watchable movies I think being muholland drive, fire walk with me, dune elephant man, BLUE FUCKING VELVET OMG, wild at heart yessss, and lost highway. everyone hated lost highway. or claimed to love it and never saw it. but seriously you can't convince me that inland empire is not garbage. we can still be friends. but you'll die in a fire.

i just put that in quotes because i'm not sure what constitutes a fan. like me for example some lynch i can't stand others i'm crazy for

I guess one can only really be a "fan". I used to like Anthony Bourdain. I was a " fan". Now I think he's a broken record nearly as bad as emeril and Rachel Ray. The asshole is on CNN and says "maxillofacial damage" in every god damn episode now and makes the same jokes he made at the start of his career. He hates foodies. He has disparaged hip hop in the past and then does an episode on the Bronx sucking hip hops large horse cock. Anyway, off point. I'm just a "fan" still. Though I mostly don't like him anymore.

It has been written it will be set modern day. No prequel or middle part. There may be a big gap from where it left off to now or it may be a continuation where time stood still between then and now. I am so excited, even if it sucks.
