it was fun. Everything in downtown portland just kind of stopped between 9:30 and 10:30 this morning. I managed to buy a pair of eclipse glasses in the park for $1. We had a 99% eclipse, just off from Totality. Thousands of people left Portland over the weekend to get out to several towns that were on the direct path of the eclipse. They're expecting to have a massive traffic jam for the rest of the day as people try to get back into the city

it was much too cloudy to see much from where we were
we used the shoe-box viewer a few times between 11:30 and 1:30 any time the clouds would break enough still cool tho |
