I had an revelation, while netphoria was down, Solara sounds a lot like a Zeitgeist track while Silvery Sometimes has a 1979 feel, but both Solara and Silvery Sometimes are much closer to the Monuments production values and performance than they were to Oceania. Based on the Razor Star review, I strongly suspect that this LP will pick up where Monuments left off. I don't think Corgan's musical trajectory ever changed, he goes where he goes, regardless of the criticism. Even if it sounds like MTaE pt. 2, people are going to say they like it, just because James was involved, and will probably insinuate that it would have sounded even better if D'arcy had been there too.

If the rest of Shiny sounds like Solara and Silvery Sometimes, you certainly won't hear me saying that I like it, regardless of James' or Jimmy's involvement.

So Corgan is currently posting "the secrets of the Silvery Sometimes video" on Instagram. After asking what people thought the video meant on Instagram people sent in lots of theories like "it's about how you feel like you had to trick the band to going along with you to participate in the reunion, the music industry is a demon etc." he laughed them all off like "LOL you all are dumb"
His response to this seems to be to describe, shot for shot, literally what is happening in the video. Like what people are wearing, props, just literally what is happening on screen. There have been no secrets revealed. I'm having vivid flashbacks to when, after months of people contorting their brains to figure out "The Machina Mystery" Corgan was like "you're all wrong!" and responded with 10 words scrawled on a copy of a fax in a half-assed flow chart that he clearly invented the day of.
